A lion supporting a coat of arms is depicted with a cityscape in the background, traversed by a river. Although the city is evidently imaginary, it includes numerous architectural elements that evoke Rome, such as the Ponte Rotto on the left and a monumental column on the right, possibly alluding to either the Column of Marcus Aurelius or that of Trajan. Along the road leading into the city, various wayfarers can be seen.

Lion type b), head to the left, with parallel front paws.
