A pen-and-ink drawing of an elaborate ornamental vase: a sheet of musical notation is displayed within a scrolled, foliate frame mounted on a pedestal, in the shape of a violin surmounted by two nude nymphs flanking the top of the vase, with hanging garlands. The musical score begins with a decorated initial within a small panel at its upper left, and the structure rests on a foreshortened violin-shaped base above an inscribed manuscript at the bottom.

No musical work linked.
